Lake Michigan
Salmon on the line!
Wednesday, March, 10, 2010
The weather has been just fantastic this September and the fishing continues to be great, with catches of salmon, steelhead, and lake trout. Many of the King Salmon are getting ready to make the trip up the river and can be found off the river mouths. The best fishing for these salmon is first light in the morning. Then move out to deeper water and fish the top hundred feet, you can expect a mixed catches of salmon, steelhead and Lakers.

This is the time of the season when the kings are up on the shelf in the morning. Some limited catches have been right off the pier head of Ludington harbor too. Silver Streak spoons in the double glows like White Lightning, Wonderbread, and Double Glow George are working best and plugs that glow. All are with long leads when fishing in water less then 120 feet.

So if you’re ready for the BIG KINGS, they are here and you should be too!

Ludington Michigan has been a focal point for fishing on Lake Michigan since the early 1970's. This is "Lake Michigan’s Gold Coast" which has been the number one place to be fishing these past few years.

With natural river mouths, warm shoal water, excellent offshore structure, close proximity to deep water, and the many currents, these waters are teeming with activity, making it an angler's paradise.

If you're looking for that special gift for someone, we also have charter gift certificates.

We are taking reservation now for the 2009 season (May Thru September)
